german photographer working across many genres to document moments and faces.
chiara (pronounced “kiara”) is a german photographer based in los angeles whose work gives voice to underrepresented stories, especially within the lgbtq community. with a cinematic eye and a deep commitment to listening, observing, and learning, she captures everyday life - its challenges, emotions, and authenticity - through honest and unbiased storytelling in both analog and digital formats.
her first documentary project, “hallo papa, bist du da?” (“hello dad, are you there?”), was published across german and austrian media. sparked by the loss of her father, it marked the beginning of her photographic journey and a deeper emotional awareness. though trained in film, chiara found still images more compelling and has since dedicated herself to photography as a powerful tool for connection and expression.
